YIkes!!!

So I took a peek as to when my last post was. YIKES!! A little over a year ago. I must start writing at least every month. In the past year, it's been so hectic, crazy and busy. I really do like staying busy though.
This year I have a 4th grader(Yikes!! Where did the time go?), a 2nd grader and my little girl is getting so big she has started Preschool. Btw, she thanks me about everyday for letting her go to school. ;) Not that I wanted her to go. I miss mommy and Tara time. I know though that she is ready. Sometimes its just too quiet in the house. I do, however, get to do more things without toting kids along.
I've decided that since yesterday I did a ton of running I'll stay home today and get some stuff accomplished around here since the kids get out of school early. One thing I'm doing is going through things to get rid of out of our hall closet. It seems to be a catch-all for everything. Besides the usual extra blankets and TP/paper towels we have shower gels, shampoo, medical stuff like bandaides, etc. and i'm finding stuff I just don't use or need anymore. Less we have to take with us.

Oh yes, forgot to mention, we get to move. Things are still in the works and unfortunetly I can't share. Bummer too, cause I'm pretty excited. But things are highly classified and of course we have OPSEC to watch out for. I'm glad though we're staying stateside, otherwise i'd have to stop selling Avon.

Which gets me to the next thing I want to talk about. I absolutely love selling Avon, and sometimes I can kick myself for not selling it right out of HS when my grandma sold for so many years. Making those 6 figures. Yes, there are Avon ladies who make that kind of money. But you have to work your business. People aren't just going to come to you. So customers have been good and thankfully they can still order off my website, which for some who i have told about leaving, have already said they'll be ordering offline.

Well, I need to get back to real life. Its been great catching up, but this girl needs to get some stuff done around the house. Until next time.

Catching Up!

So a lot has happened since the last time I wrote. First off, the Hubs had taken a test to try to make rank. He was testing for Tech sgt. Well, we found out that he made it!!!! I'm so very proud of him and what he has accomplished in the 10 years he's been in. Btw, he also celebrates that this month too!

August seemed to have flown by. Had my first PTO meetings in August. They went pretty well. Meet the teacher night went great and the kids and I got to meet their teachers. Alas the Hubs had to work and he couldn't make it. I'm sure he'll have other opportunities to meet them.

Even though I love my kids, I'm thrilled that they are back in school. I know they are happy too! Now since the boys are in school and it's just my daughter and I home all day I can get more things accomplish that I want to. My plan is to get more of our things organized. There's lots of clothes that after going through of the boys, no longer fit my younger son. So as soon as the Thrift Shop opens up I'll be consigning some things. That'll mean extra money for Christmas gifts. I'm trying to pay all cash this year again for Christmas. I was so proud of myself for not putting anything on the credit cards. Every little bit helps. We're slowly paying off debt as well. By next October or so we should have our van payed off!!! Well it's time to get the kids ready for bed as tomorrow is another school day.

Couponing Class

Well today was the first ever "coupon class" I taught. I thought it went pretty well. I'm sure I have many other things I could've mentioned, but alass my brain didn't seem to function properly. It was great being able to teach people what I know and love to do. I'm not saying I'm an expert or anything, cause well, I really don't think anyone can be an expert at couponing. People may have tons of experience but nobody is an expert. I just do what works for my family. Even if that means I only save a little, that little bit helps out tremendously. It's been a long day and this AFW(Air Force Wife) is exhausted.

Long time no type!

So it's been quite a while since i've last typed. My kids are now 8, 6,and 3. They keep me busier than ever. I've gone through another deployment since the last time I wrote and I'm sure that there will be more if the Hubs stays in. Besides doing the stay at home mom thing, I'm also on both my of son's school's PTO boards this fall. I was last year too. I absolutely love it. Right now the Hubs is working 2pm-11pm. Not sure if I like this schedule yet or not since today was his first day.

We're trying the whole canning thing this year. So far we've made some pickles. The tomatoes all seem to be staying green, but I'm sure once they start turning they will all be turning at the same time. Our garden looks awesome this year and happen to be very proud of it. Looks like I may have a green thumb after all!

School's Here!!!!!!

Ya!!!!! School is finally in session. My oldest is in the 1st grade this year. He's very excited and already likes his teacher. Only a few more weeks till my hubby is home. Can't wait for that. My middle child will be starting Head Start this year. So only one child to go, but it'll be a few more years before she's in school.

Just another day

Ok, so today is such a gloomy day. There's nothing i hate more than a rainy, gloomy day. I have no motivation to do anything. Even though i need to get some major stuff done. Right now my hubby is deployed to the sandbox till september/october. Raising 3 kids, taking care of 2 dogs and a cat, housework, plus the bills gets so overwhelming somtimes. Luckly, i get get to talk to DH about 1-2 times a day. Whether it be on the phone or on yahoo im. Thank goodness for the internet. i think i would be going nuts if i didn't get to talk to him. I just realized yesterday that Taylor, my oldest only has 15 more days of Kindergarten left. Where has the time gone? Ok, so on to the days work ahead of me.

My first Post!

Well, i sort of figured that since i read enough of these that maybe i should try one of my own. We'll see how it goes. Maybe i'll post lots of stuff and maybe only little tidbits. I may even throw in some sites, ideas, or even links to things about being frugal. Don't know what being frugal means? Well, according to my dictionary it means economical in use or expenditure; prudently saving or sparing; not wasteful. In other words, being thrifty, watching what i spend, and trying to get stuff for free. I mean come on who doesn't want stuff for free, right? Especially the way the economy is right now.
